Noel is a Sweet Active Shepherd Mix Available in Detroit
Looking For a Fun & Active Dog?
Noel is a young active Shepherd mix available for adoption through Home Fur Ever in Detroit, Michigan. She was born in December of 2013 and she currently weights 42 pounds. She’s a little underweight so she she still has a bit more filling out to do. Noel is already house and crate trained – she’s up to date on her vaccinations, already spayed, and ready for her new forever family.
Noel gets along well with dogs her own size or larger. It is not recommended that Noel go to a home with small dogs or cats. Noel is good around children but might do better in a home with older kids due to her size and strength.
From Home Fur Ever:
Noel is very sweet; she loves to cuddle. She is also very playful and would do well in a home with another dog her size or larger. She would also do well as an only dog with the proper amount of exercise. Noel would do best in a home with no cats or small dogs as she is still learning her size and strength. She is very smart and is learning her manners and commands nicely. She LOVES to run around the house with a toy in her mouth. She is not destructive; she is house trained and crate trained as well.
Noel would make a great addition for any family seeking a nice exercise partner. She adores running around outside and playing fetch. If you’re looking for a sweet active girl that loves to cuddle at the end of the day Noel is your girl. Contact Home Fur Ever and meet your new best friend today.
About Home Fur Ever
Home Fur Ever is non profit, no kill, rescue shelter based in Detroit. The organization was started in 2003 and has since found homes for almost 4500 dogs. At any given time Home Fur Ever might have 90-130 dogs in foster care making them one of the Detroit area’s largest rescues.
To help find the best match for their dogs Home Fur Ever encourages the amazing foster to adopt program. They like to give you a week or two with your new dog at home to make sure it’s a proper fit; and then you’re able to complete the process at any of their adoption events.
Foster to adopt gives you the chance to get to know your dog before you make the commitment. Not all dogs are suitable for all lifestyles – having the ability to foster your dog before completing the adoption gives you a chance to make sure it’s the perfect match.
If you’re in the metro Detroit area and you’re looking for a new canine companion I recommend Home Fur Ever. They hold adoption events every Saturday from 12-4, rotating between the Troy and Roseville Petcos.
The Tuesdays Tails Blog Hop is hosted by Dogs N Pawz and Talking Dogs. Each week this hop features great shelter pets waiting for their new forever families. Join in by sharing a pet at your local shelter or help out by spreading the word about these pets in need.

Noel looks super sweet! I was struck by the number of foster homes Home Fur Ever has. 90 – 130! That is amazing.

She is so cute! I wish I could adopt her! I think the foster to adopt program is great. At the least, it gives the dogs a safe place to stay for a week and helps the rescue learn more about them like if they are potty trained, good with kids, their energy levels, etc.

She sounds like she would make the perfect pet! Paws crossed for her. Already shared!
