Roundup 55: Favorite Dog Articles & Videos of the Week
I didn’t write a special post for Mother’s Day this year, but last year’s post “Every Pet Store Puppy Has a Mother” is my special homage to the horrible life of puppy mill mother dogs.
Behind every cute pet store puppy there’s a mother dog – and 99% of the time she’s a puppy mill mother, living a life whose only purpose becomes making puppies for profit.
Perhaps it’s a weird choice for Mother’s Day, I know, but mama dogs hold a special place in my heart. They’re the ones left behind when all their puppies find homes.
Now in much lighters news..
I want to give a special shot out to Dooce & Glogirly (and many others) for their inspiring use of the modesty patch. Modesty patches on pets = a good laugh, at least in my weird brain.
Now onto the real reason you’re here…
From the power of play to what it really means to own a dog, here’s my favorite dog articles of the week. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
